AVIONIC turns your watch into a glass-cockpit primary flight display. The time sits in the centre readout box in large white digits with the seconds in cyan, a heading arc runs along the top bezel, and two moving tapes flank the box: steps on the left with a magenta goal bug, altitude on the right, each with its current value in a framed pointer box.
The heading arc shows your direction of travel during an activity; otherwise it follows the sun's azimuth, calculated on the watch from your last known position, and says SUN. Below the readout box three annunciator cells show heart rate, Body Battery and the weather by default, and the bottom of the dial is a segmented fuel gauge for the battery, green, amber below 30 % and red below 15 %, with the estimated days left. The rim also carries the notification count and the next sunrise or sunset.
Everything is configurable in the Connect IQ app: the left tape (steps, calories, distance, weekly active minutes or floors), the right tape (altitude, barometric pressure, heart rate or Body Battery), each cell from fourteen options including a second time zone and respiration, the heading source, and four colour themes: Glass, Night (amber), Mono and Red NVG for the dark. On AMOLED watches the always-on view is either the time and date only or the full face dimmed.
